Many people get the idea that Artifex is somehow closed, because the windows appear dark. This is not the case, however, we are allergic to the day star, so we tinted the windows and drew the shades, and set up shop on the second floor of a big blue building, where most windows can't find us, between a pool supply store and an abandoned car dearlership. It's across the street from Starbucks and Gamestop, and around the corner from Visions FCU, and the Vestal Plaza.

Once you go in the double glass doors of the big blue building conveniently labeled Artifex, you'll need to hang a right up the staircase. You'll pass a lovely set of carved jack-o-lanterns and a chest long emptied of its gold doubloons, and through another glass door, behind which the happy buzz of a tattoo needle and the warm greeting of a comfortable reception area, art books, and our knowledgable and smiling receptionist, Katie, awaits you.
